“Big Church”

When I was little I used to think of the main church service as “big church”-I’m not sure why. Perhaps it was because we attended Sunday school first with all of the little people, and transferring to the sanctuary for the main service seemed so big and grand.

This past Sunday, Bryce preached at “big church”. He has preached several times before at the seminary and for other congregations in need of a pastor throughout the San Diego area, but this was his first opportunity to preach at our own church in front of our friends and church family. He did such an amazing job, and the Lord calmed any fear he had before walking up to the pulpit. Praise Him! It was an amazing message of God’s grace, something we need to be reminded of daily. When B practiced for me the night before my heart swelled with affection for the Lord as he spoke of what Christ has accomplished for me, the worst of sinners. What a privilege that God has allowed us to take part in his ministry this way…

The sermon is posted on our church’s website if you would like to listen, or if you, too, need to be reminded of the Lord’s grace: http://64.149.98.4/audio.html Enjoy!

We also took a trip to the beach the Saturday before to enjoy some sun and relax. I wasn’t able to find a whole sand dollar Mom, but thought of you nonetheless when this rolled up on shore…
